Season 2 of Michael Connelly’s ‘Bosch: Legacy’ will drop Oct. 20

The wait is almost over for fans of “Bosch: Legacy,” the streaming series based on Michael Connelly’s novels about Los Angeles detective Harry Bosch.

Freevee, the Amazon streaming service, announced Thursday that the first four episodes of Season 2 of the series will drop on Oct. 20. Single episodes will then be released each Friday, with a total of 10 episodes for the season. The season finale will stream on Nov.10.

Fans know that Season 1 ended with a shocking cliffhanger, and the trailer Freevee released Thursday suggests that Season 2 will plunge right into that tense situation.

Titus Welliver returns as Bosch, now a private detective. Also back are Madison Lintz as Bosch’s daughter, Maddie; Mimi Rogers as attorney Honey Chandler; and Stephen A. Chang as Mo Bassi.

The trailer gives a tantalizing glimpse of Jamie Hector making an appearance as Bosch’s former partner, Jerry Edgar.

Part-time Tampa resident Connelly, whose 38 novels have sold more than 85 million copies worldwide, continues as an executive producer and writer for “Bosch: Legacy.” Because of the ongoing Writers Guild of America strike, Connelly, who is a member of the union, can’t do the usual publicity interviews for this season of the show.

“Bosch: Legacy” is a spinoff of the successful seven-season Amazon series “Bosch.” Connelly was an executive producer and writer for that show, and also holds those positions for the Netflix series based on his books about attorney Mickey Haller, “The Lincoln Lawyer,” now in its second season.
