Section of Route 33 to close Friday night for repairs
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Motorists are advised to plan for extra time if traveling on Route 33 near Grider Street Friday night.
The New York State Department of Transportation said intermittent lane closures will start 7 p.m. Friday and be in place until 10 a.m. Saturday. The closures will affect both westbound and eastbound traffic, weather permitting. The westbound Grider Street on-ramp will also be closed.
The closure is due to the removal and replacement of an overhead sign structure, the department said.
No signed detours will be in place and therefore, motorists are encouraged to find other routes.
