Semi-truck crash in Waupaca County, driver dies due to medical condition
WAUPACA, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Waupaca County say the driver involved in a semi-truck crash Monday night died at the hospital as a result of a medical condition.
According to a release from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, a trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol notified deputies of a single-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on US Highway 10 near State Highway 22.
Officials say the semi-truck and trailer was heading east on US Highway 10 when it entered the median, hit the guardrail, and came to rest back in the median.

First responders from the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office and the Waupaca Police Department responded to the scene and found the driver of the semi-truck unresponsive.
Life-saving efforts were made immediately and the driver was taken to Theda Care Waupaca by the Golden Cross Ambulance Service.
The driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital due to a medical condition and not due to any injuries pertaining to the crash.
