Sexyy Red Says She Loves Donald Trump: ‘We Need Him Back In Office’
Sexyy Red expressed her support for Donald Trump in his running bid for the 2024 presidential election. The St. Louis rapper discussed the former president with Theo Von during an appearance on This Past Weekend podcast on Tuesday.
“I like Trump,” she said near the end of the episode. “Yeah, they support him in the hood. At first, I don’t think people was f**king with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s**t against women. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Awe, baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office.”
The rapper referred to pandemic relief checks as the main reasons she supports him.
“We need him back because, baby, them checks,” she said. “Them stimulus checks. Trump, we miss you.”
Sexyy Red also referred to Trump’s personality as one of the reasons why she supports him.
“I love Trump,” the rapper added. “He funny to me. I used to be watching him talking to people. He used to be calling people fat. He just bold. He funny. We need people like him.”

Congress lawmakers approved all rounds of stimulus checks during both Trump’s and Biden’s presidencies. Trump is currently a frontrunner for the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election. Polls show him ahead of his GOP rivals.
Sexyy Red’s support of Trump comes as the civil fraud trial against the former president kicked off this week in a New York newsroom. The judge ruled that Trump routinely deceived banks, insurers and others by inflating the value of his assets on paperwork used to make deals and secure loans, according to AP. There are still six remaining claims in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ lawsuit against Trump, which include allegations of conspiracy, falsifying business records and insurance fraud.
The former president also faces 91 felony counts in four criminal cases in Washington, New York, Florida and Georgia. He could face years in prison if convicted.
