Sheriff: Husband in Marinette County shoots and kills wife, then himself
STEPHENSON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Marinette County say two people are dead following an incident Sunday evening in which a man allegedly shot his wife and then himself.
According to a release from the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, at 5:13 p.m. deputies responded to a residence on South 5th Street in Stephenson for reports of several gunshots being fired.
At the scene, officials say a man shot his wife, Erica J. Noble from Crivitz, a number of times and she later died from her injuries while someone else attempted to take her away from the scene.

Deputies were told that the suspect, Troy D. Noble from Crivitz, was still inside the home at the time of their arrival and was still armed.
The Marinette County Special Response Team, Crisis Negotiations, and the Drone Team immediately responded to the scene and set up a perimeter around the home.
Deputies say attempts to contact Noble and ask him to surrender were unsuccessful and Noble later exited the home and proceeded to die from a self-inflicted gunshot.
At this time, no other information is available and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
