Silver Creek woman charged with murder in connection with 12-year-old’s death
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Silver Creek woman was charged with second-degree murder after she allegedly caused the death of a 12-year-old juvenile victim, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Officials said Ashley Bertino, 36, “did engage in a course of conduct evincing depraved indifference to human life, which created a grave risk of death to another person.”
The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. on April 29, 2024, on Oak Street in Silver Creek, according to the sheriff’s office.
The arrest warrant was issued out of Hanover Town Court. Bertino was taken into custody without incident and was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
