Simon Cowell says he was "disgusting" to Susan Boyle 10 years ago
After experiencing the wonders of Susan Boyle again in the new America's Got Talent: The Champions, judge Simon Cowell had some rather surprising words to say.
Performing once more a soaring rendition of the Les Miserables classic 'I Dreamed a Dream', Boyle appeared to give Cowell a bout of nostalgia, as he reflected on the day she first came to public attention back in 2009 on Britain's Got Talent.

He marvelled: "I have goosebumps in my goosebumps. Oh my god, Susan that really really took me back, all those years I can remember vividly how disgusting I was on the day, before you sang.
"And then, what you did and what happened afterwards and to end the show... it's been an amazing night. I mean, seriously it was fantastic. You're a champion," Cowell added.
Although incredibly supportive, the controversial judge's words are a little shocking here; it's rare that Cowell shares his regrets and faults in front of a studio audience, but we're sure the Grammy-nominated Scotswoman appreciated it!
Elsewhere, the 57-year-old opera star has previously shared some thoughts on those performers out there who're lacking in confidence.
"For those who maybe don't have the confidence to do things, for those who don't have a voice, the ones who people tend to ignore, I feel like I'm a champion for them," Boyle noted.
America's Got Talent airs on NBC in the US.
