Simone Biles takes to social media to share advice for President Joe Biden as he finishes out his term. The Olympian shared a note directed to POTUS in the wake of Donald Trump claiming victory in the 2024 presidential election.

“Mr Biden, I need you to stand up, straighten your back and make some things shake before your departure,” she explained in a post on X on Wednesday afternoon (Nov. 6). She signed the message “xoxo the women in America,” closing with a blue heart emoji.

The message to President Biden was not the 27-year-old’s only social media reaction after the big political news day. On Threads, the record-setting athlete expressed a range of emotions in separate posts. Previously, the gymnast had shown public support for Vice President Kamala Harris in her historic presidential campaign.

“You gotta be f**king kidding me,” she exclaimed. The declaration was followed by “I’m SO sorry America,” and “we deserve better,” with a broken heart emoji.

The race was officially declared for former President Trump early Wednesday morning, with him taking the electoral and popular vote. With his win, he becomes the first president since Grover Cleveland to get elected to nonconsecutive terms and will become the oldest sitting president at 78.

“I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president and your 45th president,” relayed Trump after the victory.  “And every citizen, I will fight for you, for your family and for your future. Every single day, I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body.”

“The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not what we voted for, but hear me when I say… the light of America’s promise will always burn bright. As long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting,” she proclaimed from the campus of Howard University.

Biden is expected to make a public speech on Thursday morning (Nov. 7).
