Slidell man arrested in connection with child pornography investigation

SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — A Slidell man has been arrested in connection with a child pornography investigation on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
The Office of Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill reported that 34-year-old Ryan Wesley Cadard was arrested after agents received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The attorney general’s office reported that General Murrill’s Cyber Crime Unit worked on the investigation with Homeland Security Investigations and the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Cadard was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail and faces 55 counts of distribution of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13 and six counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.
According to the attorney general’s office, the investigation is ongoing.
