Son accused of fatally shooting his father: Local PD
PAINSVILLE, Ohio (WJW) — A 23-year-old Painesville man has been charged with murder after the alleged shooting and killing of his 67-year-old father, according to police.
In a Sunday morning press release, Painesville police said they were called to a home in the 300 block of Sanford Street just before 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15 for the report of a shooting inside the residence.

Officials did not immediately release the name of the suspect or the victim in the case, but said the suspect was detained at the scene and transported to the Painesville Police Department where he was interviewed and charged with murder.
Teacher accused of fathering child with student
He is currently being held without bond in the Lake County Jail and is due for an arraignment on Monday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m., according to the press release.
Police said the incident remains under investigation.
