South Linden shooting leaves one teenager critical

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A shooting in the South Linden section of Columbus has sent one victim to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Monday night.

According to Columbus police, the shooting happened at approximately 10:38 p.m. near the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and East 21st Avenue. The victim was reportedly shot multiple times while along a sidewalk, perhaps riding a scooter. Police said the teen then ran to a nearby market, where officers found him.

The victim, later identified as a 15-year-old boy, was listed in critical condition.

Sgt. Joe Albert is asking that anyone with security cameras to view recent footage and call Columbus Police if there is anything to report.
