Springfield-Greene County Health Department will move again at end of month

On July 30, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department will move back to its location on Chestnut Expressway, according to a press release.

The SGCHD has been operating out of Cox Medical Tower, 1443 N. Robberson Ave., since March 4 due to renovations at the Bengsch Building, 227 E. Chestnut Expressway.

As the department prepares to move back to its original location, the following services will not be offered on July 29: STI testing and treatment, vaccinations, vital records such as birth and death certificates and lab services like well water testing.

“We appreciate the community's understanding as we have worked through our renovations and temporary relocation at Cox Medical Tower,” said Katie Towns, SGCHD health director, in a press release. “We are thankful for the temporary space that provided minimal disruption to our services, and we are looking forward to serving the community back in the Bengsch Building.”
