Springsteen to headline 2 Harris rallies with Obama in swing states
Bruce Springsteen is aiming to strike a chord with Kamala Harris supporters, headlining a pair of concerts for the vice president’s campaign in two battleground states.
The “Born in the U.S.A.” singer will help kick off the Harris campaign’s “When We Vote We Win” concert series in Atlanta on Thursday, a senior campaign official confirmed to The Hill on Tuesday.
Harris is poised to make her first joint appearance on the campaign trail with former President Obama at the Thursday rally featuring Springsteen.
Springsteen will also join Obama at a Monday campaign event in Philadelphia for Harris.
The Harris campaign concert series is expected to be held in seven different swing states, with additional events to be announced in coming days.
Springsteen denounced former President Trump — calling him “the most dangerous candidate for president” in his lifetime — when he endorsed Harris earlier this month.
The 75-year-old music superstar praised Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), when announcing his support, calling them “committed to a vision of this country that respects and includes everyone, regardless of class, religion, race, your political point of view or sexual identity.”
