St. Claude Avenue Bridge to be closed nightly
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The St. Claude Avenue bridge will be closed to all traffic nightly until repairs on it, which were reported on Thursday, can be completed.
According to the Port of New Orleans, the closures are due to a problem with a main bridge motor, which workers are attempting to fix and hope to have completed sometime in the week of July 29.

The bridge will be raised for marine traffic to pass through during the nightly closures, starting at 6:30 p.m., and it will be lowered in the mornings at 6:30 a.m. for vehicular traffic.
Two available alternate routes include the Louisiana 39 Judge Seeber Bridge and the Florida Avenue Bridge.
