New Starbucks store proposed for North Davis Highway
Documents filed with Escambia County show that a brand-new Starbucks location has been proposed for development off of North Davis Highway.
In their project narrative pitch to the county, developers proposed a 2,500 square-foot Starbucks location with an accompanying drive-thru. Developers plan to build the national coffee chain's latest Pensacola store on the corner of North Davis Highway and Creighton Road, in between Bubba’s 33 and the incoming Jim N’ Nicks BBQ.
The potential Starbucks is planned to be built in one phase on 1.65 acres of previously undeveloped land and include 67 parking spaces, according to the project’s site plans filed with Escambia County.
The owner of the potential new Starbucks is the Tampa-based Bowman Consulting Group, according to the project’s information form. It proposed the project to the county’s Development Review Committee on Feb. 22.
The project is being reviewed and discussed by the Development Review Committee on Wednesday for its next steps.
There are many existing Starbucks locations across Escambia County; This new location would become the closest Starbucks to customers in between their East Nine Mile Road location and their stores off of Brent Lane.
