Stephen Colbert Challenges Karl Lagerfeld to “Give Him 20″ for the Troops
There’s been a gaping and depressing hole in late night television since Stephen Colbert’s The Colbert Report went off the air in December. While that character won’t be back, the real Colbert’s given his fans a peek at what’s to come when his The Late Show With Stephen Colbert debuts on CBS in September. There was the Colbeard, the Trump-ian announcement, the Tooncast—you can watch them all here—and today, he dropped down and did 20 push-ups to raise money for American troops.
In fact, so excited was he to work out in his new office, that he did a full set of twenty with just one hand or only two fingers, proving he could hold his own with the 101st Airborne (sort of). And since John Oliver challenged Colbert, he in turn challenged fellow late night hosts James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel. And then he threw in a zinger…” And either Karl Lagerfeld or the Pope, you two work it out guys.”
We vote Karl, who would probably pass the task on to his muscled entourage, which would be just fine.
