Strictly’s Stacey Dooley set to make West End stage debut
Stacey Dooley will make her West End stage debut in acclaimed play 2:22 A Ghost Story for a limited run.
The presenter, who took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, will take on the role of Jenny for a 10-week run at the Gielgud Theatre, where the show returns for the first time since 2022.
Dooley will star opposite returning 2:22 star James Buckley, who reprises the role of Ben. Previews start on May 25 and the run will end on August 4, with tickets going on sale tomorrow (April 24).

"Delighted to be involved in the next adaptation of 2:22! Made up!" Dooley shared.
"I fell for the play when I went to watch it in 2022. All four characters feel so familiar, which means the subtle 'ghost story' just works so brilliantly. Can't wait to bring Jenny back to life! Let's go!"
Buckley, who played the role of Ben during the first run at the Gielgud Theatre in 2021/22, joked he now needs to make sure to remember his part.
"I'm so excited to be rejoining the cast of 2:22. It's such a brilliant play and to be back in such a brilliant theatre," the Inbetweeners said in a statement.
"It will be great to play Ben again, and now all I need to do is make sure I remember the lines. Can't wait to see everyone there."

The play follows a dinner hosted by Jenny and her husband Sam for their longtime friend Lauren and her new partner Ben.
Convinced their house is haunted, Jenny involves Sam and their pals in a conversation about the supernatural, with both couples deciding to stay up late to find out if the dead can really walk again.
2:22 A Ghost Story has seen stars of the likes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Stephanie Beatriz, Doctor Who's Mandip Gill, and One Tree Hill's Sophia Bush take to the stage in its previous six runs. Casting for the roles of Sam and Lauren in the upcoming shows will be announced in due course.
The new 2:22 will take over from Sheridan Smith's Opening Night, an adaptation of the movie of the same name by John Cassavetes that recently saw its Gielgud Theatre run cut short due to a "challenging financial landscape".
Originally intended to run until July 27, Opening Night, which also stars Bodies' Shira Haas, will now bow out on May 18.
Tickets for 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Gielgud Theatre go on sale on April 24. The play will run from May 25 through to August 4.
