KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Struggling families are feeling the love. PAK Pediatrics held its monthly food drive in Kingston on Thursday.

Plenty of fresh produce, meats, and dairy was available for anyone who registered on-site.

The executive director at PAK Pediatrics, JR Vought, says they served about 300 families today with the help of volunteers from local schools and CEO Weinberg Food Bank and shared with us what motivates them to hold it every month.

“So one of PAK Pediatrics core values is community, and we feel one of the best ways to give back to the community is through a food drive. We have a motto, “Food is Medicine” and if people are eating better, they can live better lives,” Vought explained.

PAK Pediatrics holds food drives on the third Thursday of every month from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. year-round.

It’s open to everyone in the community and registration is required onsite.
