Former Vice President Joe Biden is projected to win primaries in Michigan, Mississippi and Missouri, solidifying his lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders in the race for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. “It’s more than a comeback,” Biden said in a speech to staffers in Philadelphia. “It’s a comeback for the soul of this nation.”
The former vice president also thanked Sanders’s supporters for “their tireless energy and passion.”
“We share a common goal,” he added. “Together, we will defeat Donald Trump.”
