Here’s when Target in Doylestown will open and what to expect. The wait is almost over
It’s been a longtime coming — but the wait is almost over.
The new Target store in Doylestown will officially open Sunday, July 21, according to a press release the company issued Wednesday.
Located in the Doylestown Shopping Center on North Main Street, the 74,500-square foot store will feature a CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks Café and Ulta Beauty, the release said. Services will include drive up, order pickup and same-day delivery.
Brooke Henningsen, founding partner of Arrow Real Estate Services, which manages the shopping center, said the new Target will be an asset to the center and the community as a whole.
“It’s going to fill such a huge gap that we just don’t have in our Doylestown community right now. That’s something that we haven’t had since Kmart closed (in Plumstead Township),” Henningsen said.
“Doylestown will always have a place in our hearts for the small mom-and-pop stores, but we also have these shopping centers that have the ability to house these larger retailers to provide a larger outreach to the community. We’re blessed in this community to have the best of both worlds, and this is fulfilling one of those needs.”
When is Target in Doylestown open?
Following its grand opening on July 21 at 8 a.m., the store will be open seven days a week with the following hours:
Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
In addition to the grand opening, Henningsen said Target is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony on July 16 at 5 p.m. followed by a private sneak peek of the store for invited guests. She was unable to clarify if the store would also be open to the public that evening.
"We received an invitation for the people that have been involved with the process — the construction teams, leasing team and the Target teams — to get a sneak peek of what’s coming. I’m not sure it’s something that will be open to the public. I think it’s just giving the Target team a chance to work out any kinks, so they can get things up to speed prior to the big public opening," Henningsen said.

Will the freestanding Starbucks in the Doylestown Shopping Center stay open?
The freestanding Starbucks with drive-thru services, located across the shopping center from the new Target, will continue to remain open, Henningsen said.
The center also includes other retailers and services, including Acme Market, Staples, Planet Fitness and Famous Footwear, as well as restaurants, such as Bacco Italian Bistro, Wendy’s and Turning Point.
Is Target in Doylestown hiring?
In their press release, Target said the new location is hiring around 95 team members.
The Target website currently lists 14 job openings for the Doylestown store, including guest advocates, stocking and positions within the in-store Starbucks and Ulta.
