CLEVELAND (WJW) — The FOX 8 I-Team has learned the victim has recanted her statement in the domestic violence case against Cleveland Browns rookie lineman Michael Hall Jr.
Avon police filed charges against Hall after an incident with his fiancée.

But on Friday, the I-Team revealed she gave a second statement to police.
Now, multiple sources confirm the woman has taken back her claims.
Avon police have not released that statement, despite a request from the I-Team. Police said they considered the statement evidence.
Hall played in the Browns preseason game on Saturday.
While he still faces the domestic violence case, he has another hearing on Sept. 10.
Avon police, however, did release police body camera video of Hall’s arrest. The video shows Hall being handcuffed and taken to the department’s booking room to be processed. Hall surrendered to police a week ago.
Avon police officers had been called to Hall’s home. Police were told an argument between Hall and his fiancée began over finances regarding a dental procedure for her child, but things quickly escalated.
Hall allegedly pressed a gun against the woman’s temple, threw a baby bottle at her head and dragged her out of the house.

Hall is being represented by attorney Kevin Spellacy, and he bonded out of jail. Bond was set at $10,000.
Hall, 21, was formerly a player for the Ohio State University and played high school football in Streetsboro. He was selected 54th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
