Teen boy arrested, accused of raping child in Napoleonville
NAPOLEONVILLE, La. (BRPROUD) — A 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged with rape after an investigation in Napoleonville.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office reports on June 21, deputies were notified of a complaint regarding the alleged rape of a child multiple times. The offenses were reportedly committed at a home on Marshall Lane, according to the sheriff’s office.
Detectives said an investigation was started and they were able to identify the suspect as a 14-year-old boy.
After the investigation, detectives filed a verified complaint against the 14-year-old accused of first-degree rape.
The 14-year-old suspect was arrested by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office on July 18. The suspect was transferred to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and is being held in a juvenile correctional facility.
