Teen boy shot while playing with gun in Baton Rouge, police say
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to an accidental shooting around 11:45 p.m. on Monday, July 29.
BRPD arrived in the 2100 block of Thomas Road and determined that a 14-year-old boy had been shot in the hand. Police said it happened while the teenager was playing with a gun.
Emergency medical service officials said they responded to the scene and took one person to the hospital in stable condition.
Multiple BRPD units were observed at the scene.
Police said no charges will be filed in this case.
Detectives are also looking into a shooting that left one person dead and another injured on Sunday, July 28.
