Teen in Livingston Parish arrested, accused of threatening school attack

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating after reports of terrorism.

According to the sheriff’s office, on Monday, deputies were called to McGraw Lane after complaints of terrorism.

Didier Antonio Pineda Ramos, 19, was arrested and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on terrorizing charges.

Deputies say an argument between Ramos and a juvenile revealed a reported planned attack on a school.

Law enforcement officers were able to determine the threat was made. Deputies learned Ramos is not associated with any Livingston Parish Public Schools. The sheriff’s office says no specific school was mentioned in the threat, no weapons were found and no activity related to the threat happened on any Livingston Parish campus.

LPSO Sheriff Jason Ard said, “This happened outside school hours, but let it be known that we take these types of comments seriously and we have a zero-tolerance policy when it comes to our children’s safety.”

This is an ongoing investigation.
