Teenager allegedly fires gun at pursuing officers after Wisconsin carjacking
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – While officers in southeastern Wisconsin were pursuing three teenagers who allegedly carjacked a vehicle on Thursday evening, one reportedly fired a gun at them during a foot pursuit.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, officers were investigating a report of a carjacking in the 1000 block of West Keefe Avenue on September 12. Later that day, around 7 p.m. officers spotted the stolen vehicle in the 3500 block of North 23rd Street.

As authorities approached the vehicle, it reportedly fled at a high rate of speed, leading to a pursuit. The pursuit eventually ended in the 2300 block of West Finn Place and three people in the vehicle took off on foot.

All three suspects, a 17-year-old driver, and 16 and 18-year-old passengers, were taken into custody after a dangerous foot pursuit where the 16-year-old allegedly ‘discharged a firearm towards officers.’ It was not specifically stated how many shots were fired.
No officers were hit and there was no return fire by the Milwaukee PD.
Charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
