Teenager killed after being hit by truck in Tonawanda

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 15-year-old male was killed following a traffic collision that occurred Tuesday night, according to the Town of Tonawanda Police Department.

Around 8:20 p.m., police said they responded to Woodstock Avenue and Yorkshire Road where 15-year-old Luke Guetti had been struck by a Ford F-250 pickup truck. He had been operating a motorized bicycle when he was struck, according to officials.

The boy was transported to Oishei Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The school he attended, Kenmore East High School, has since confirmed his death.

The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old Town of Tonawanda man, is cooperating with the investigation. Charges are not expected.
