Tennessee Voices, Episode 295: Harry Allen, Studio Bank co-founder and chief relationship officer
Nashville is known as Music City for its deep relationship to country, gospel, Americana and other genres.
While music is synonymous with the city, Nashville’s economy hums because of less flashy sectors such as health care, automotive and finance.
Nashville’s diversified economy has helped the community thrive and recover from economic downturns, and it is important as rapid growth poses acute challenges to quality of life of cost of living.
On this episode of the Tennessee Voices video podcast, I spoke with Harry Allen, co-founder and chief relationship officer of Studio Bank.
He is a Nashville native who marvels at the city’s growth and cares deeply about who benefits from that wealth.
We spoke about economic trends, affordable housing and racial justice.
We touched on the worrisome uncertainty caused by the current rapid rate of inflation and the inequitable prosperity.
A proud Belmont University graduate, Allen also talked about the social progress made over the decades and the work left to be done.
He is also a member of the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
