Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office seeks two in connection with Houma abandoned house fire
HOUMA, La. (WGNO) — The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for help in identifying two people who are believed to have allegedly set fire to an abandoned house in Houma on Thursday, July 18.
According to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet, TPSO deputies responded to the fire, which occurred in the 100 block of Marie Drive around 8 p.m. after neighbors reported seeing smoke come from the roof and siding of the home. The Bayou Cane Fire Department also arrived on the scene and was able to put out the fire.

After further investigation, TPSO deputies said the fire looked to have been set intentionally, and detectives were called to the scene. They then obtained video from the neighborhood capturing two people walking near the house who TPSO deputies believe to be connected to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and Soignet said anyone with information about the fire can contact the TPSO at 985-876-2500 or Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433.
