3 QUESTIONS
...about back-to-school shopping
School’s back in session — or about to be. So, Anthony asked Yahoo shopping curator Zainab Akande, who writes The Checkout newsletter, about the best shopping deals she’s seen.
Anthony: Any recs for durable backpacks that’ll last?
Zainab: Yeah! One of my favorite picks for young kids is Bentgo’s 2-in-1 backpack. It has a built-in, insulated lunch box and it’s under $35. For older students, the North Face’s Vault backpack is rich with an organizational section for laptops, notebooks and more.
Anthony: The kids are all about the water bottles. What’s the “it” water bottle right now?
Zainab: The Owala FreeSip has been going viral. It’s leakproof and less expensive than a Stanley tumbler. But, if you’re a diehard Stanley fan, the brand just released tumblers in a new almond rose color that’s giving me major fall vibes.
Anthony: Have you seen any good deals on laptops?
Zainab: The Apple MacBook Air M3 is one of the best computers for students that I’ve seen, and it’s on sale for $849 right now. You can also get great (and even cheaper) options from brands like Acer and HP here.
