Three arrested, including two juveniles, in connection with alleged assault of police officer
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Three people, including two teenage girls, were arrested Wednesday in connection with an alleged early morning assault of a police officer in an apartment building near Masten Park, the Buffalo Police Department announced.
According to officials, a group of juveniles were allegedly fighting in an apartment building on the 1100 block of Jefferson Avenue around midnight.
Several individuals allegedly struck a female officer multiple times as she tried to break up the fight. The officer was injured as a result and taken to ECMC, where she has since been released.
Jayla Moore, 20, and two teen girls, ages 13 and 16, all from Buffalo, were charged identically with the following:
second-degree gang assault
second-degree assault
obstruction of governmental administration
