Three hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash in Galax
GALAX, Va. (WFXR)– The Galax Fire Department reports three people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash on Carrollton Pike on Friday, July 5.
According to the fire department, crews were dispatched at 2:00 p.m. to the 8200 block of Carrollton Pike. They arrived and found two vehicles involved in a head-on crash with one patient unresponsive with entrapment.
The crew of a rescue team completed a side wall removal on one vehicle, completing the extrication in seven minutes.

A total of three patients were identified in the crash, and all three were taken to Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) with non-life-threatening injuries.
Virginia State Police is investigating the scene.
