Three indicted in fatal shooting of French Quarter tour guide

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Three people were indicted by an Orleans Parish grand jury on Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of a French Quarter tour guide that occurred on June 30.
According to a news release from the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, the three individuals, Kevin Nunez, Jerben Albarec and Joshua Bonifacio, were each indicted with one charge of second-degree murder.

Albarec and Bonifacio received an additional indictment related to the case for conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Multiple nearby security cameras reportedly captured the French Quarter incident, and allegedly showed Nunez ambushing and fatally shooting 43-year-old Kristie Thibodeaux while she was sitting in her car in the 700 block of St. Peter Street.
The district attorney’s office reported that Nunez, Albarec and Bonifacio are facing life in prison if convicted and will be tried in Criminal District Court.
