Troopers search for car in fatal Jefferson Parish hit-and-run crash
JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Troopers with the Louisiana State Police are looking to locate a car that they believe to be involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Jefferson Parish.
On Aug. 4, the LSP reported that troopers responded to a crash on US 90B near Gaudet Drive around 5 a.m.

LSP officials said an initial investigation showed a Honda was driving east on the upper level of US 90B when the driver lost control, drove off the road and hit a guardrail before falling onto the lower level of US 90B.
The passenger, identified by the LSP as 66-year-old Daniel Serrano-Lopez, was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
On Monday, Aug. 19, the LSP reported that the crash is now being investigated as a hit-and-run.

According to the LSP, further investigation revealed that another car allegedly hit the right side of the Honda before it fell over the guardrail and drove away from the scene.
LSP officials said the car is described as a dark sedan with tinted windows and heavy damage to the front and left side.
