Tropical Storm Debby made landfall for a second time early this morning near Bulls Bay, S.C.

What to expect: Debby could bring an additional 3 to 9 inches of rainfall to parts of the mid-Atlantic before spreading heavy rain and potential flooding through the Northeast by this weekend. [AP]

Storm impacts: There have been at least six deaths connected to the storm. Flooding is projected to continue into next week from parts of South Carolina into Virginia, and nearly 21,000 people in Florida were still without power yesterday. [USA Today]

The much-anticipated romantic drama It Ends With Us is in theaters tomorrow. I talked to entertainment reporter Taryn Ryder about the film.

Taryn: I saw it, and here’s what to know: It’s an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling book. It stars Blake Lively as Lily Bloom, a woman who overcame a traumatic childhood only to find herself later in a troubling relationship similar to that of her parents.

Taryn: I'm not going to lie, the outfits are out there. One thing you won’t see in my reporting is that Hoover told me she was shocked by how passionate fans were about the costumes. She ultimately took that passion as a compliment.

Taryn: Yes, and you don’t need to read the book to understand it. The movie fills a box office void for anyone who wasn't interested in Twisters, Longlegs or Deadpool & Wolverine this summer.

Go deeper: Here’s why the movie was so challenging for Lively to film.
