There were a lot of “Oh. My. God.” moments at Thursday’s GOP debate.

Donald Trump caused a collective gasp when he defended the size of his hands and, uh, more. That was after he told moderator Chris Wallace to check Twitter for all his disavowals of David Duke, the white supremacist who Trump had feigned ignorance of during a CNN interview Sunday.

Then there were the countless times all the candidates — save Kasich — shouted over one another at such length that Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly was forced to intervene and instruct them to be quiet while the others spoke.

With all that going on, it would have been easy to miss this classic moment of Trumpian self-promotion from the New York reality TV star and real estate magnate, “A recent article somewhere said Donald Trump is a world-class businessman who goes out and he does get along with everybody.”

And he’s right — a recent article, by the Washington Post, does refer to him as a “world-class businessman.” There’s just one problem — it’s a direct quote from Trump himself.

The December 2015 story is about why Trump made donations to both Bill and Hillary Clinton in past years, despite now running on the GOP ticket.

His response? “As a world-class businessman, you have to get along with everybody,” Trump told the Post. "I was able to get along with Clinton, I was able to get along with virtually every politician you can imagine.“

Giving a quote just so you can spin it in a debate? Super classy.
