Tucker Carlson and Amber Rose among featured speakers at Republican National Convention

MILWAUKEE - Tucker Carlson and Amber Rose are speaking to the Republican convention.

George W. Bush, Mike Pence and Mitt Romney are not.

Trump convention planners released a long list of speakers Saturday that thoroughly reflects the MAGA-ization of the Republican Party, including members of the Trump family, pro-Trump commentators and entertainers, and Trump-favored lawmakers.

Family members who are speaking include sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric, and daughter-in-law Lara Trump, who is a co-chair of the Republican National Committee. Former first lady Melania Trump is attending the convention, but is not on the speaker's list.

Entertainers include singer Lee Greenwood, author of "God Bless The USA; Rose, who is described as a "rapper & influencer;" and Dana White, the CEO of UFC.

There are no known Trump skeptics on the list: Hence the absence of the last pre-Trump Republican president, Bush, and the last pre-Trump Republican nominee, Romney.

Also not on the list: Former Vice President Mike Pence, who may wind up testifying against Trump in a federal case involving the insurrection of Jan. 6, 2021.

The convention speakers list also does not include lawmakers with whom Trump has clashed, such as Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.

There are also a few speakers who have been on both sides of the fence regarding Trump. That includes Carlson, the former Fox News host who criticized Trump in text messages later revealed publicly, but now appears to be getting along with him.

The convention will hear from the staunchest Trump fans imaginable.

They include Peter Navarro, a former White House advisor who is being released from jail this week. He was sentenced to four months for contempt of Congress for  defying subpoenas from the House committee that investigated the Capitol attack of Jan. 6, 2021. The committee wanted to question Navarro about the effort to prevent certification of President Biden's victory.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., one of Trump's most outspoken supporters on Capitol Hill will also be featured.

The list does not include days and times for the speakers, partly because it likely includes the vice presidential nominee. The invited speakers listed includes finalists for the running mate slot: Sens. J.D. Vance of Ohio, Tim Scott of South Carolina, and Marco Rubio of Florida, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.

The convention speakers also has traditional elements, including a slew of Republican candidates in the fall election.
