Two Black Creek residents arrested months after overdose death in Outagamie County

(WFRV) – Two men from Outagamie County were arrested and charged for their alleged roles in a 27-year-old’s overdose death back in July.

According to the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, two people have been arrested in connection to an overdose death that happened back in July 2024. On July 19, authorities responded to an address in the 100 block of East State Street for a suspected drug overdose.

Authorities say that the overdose victim was a 27-year-old man who was found dead by family members. Investigators were reportedly able to identify the supplier of the suspected fentanyl.

Both the source of fentanyl distributed and the local supplier were able to be identified by investigators.

On September 17, Cole Simon was arrested and charged with homicide and is currently being held in the Outagamie County Jail. On October 7, Travis Neshek was arrested and charged with multiple drug-related crimes.

Both men are reportedly from Black Creek. No additional information was provided.
