Two injured after being run over by vehicle following crash in Shawnee
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two people were injured Thursday evening after being run over by a vehicle following a crash in Shawnee.
The incident was reported just before 5 p.m. near Maurer Road and Shawnee Mission Parkway.

The Shawnee Police Department, Shawnee Fire Department, and Johnson County MED-ACT responded to a crash involving two people.
According police, following the minor two-vehicle non-injury crash, both drivers exited their vehicles.
Police say as one driver tried to move one of the vehicles involved in the crash, he ran over the other driver, then fell out of the vehicle he was trying to move and was run over by the same vehicle.
One woman was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
