Two people taken to the hospital after “medical episode” causes crash in WI

LA FARGE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say a “medical episode” is to blame for a crash that sent two people to the hospital Saturday night.

According to a release from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded around 7:30 p.m. for reports of a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 82 near Spry Road to the east of the village of La Farge.

The driver of the crashed 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup, 25-year-old Kyle Ray Stout from Kendall, reportedly told deputies that he was experiencing a medical episode as the vehicle left the roadway before crashing into a culvert and coming to rest upright in a field.

Deputies say Stout and a passenger, 28-year-old Hailey Christine Rogers from Madison, were both hurt in the crash and taken by ambulance to the hospital.

At this time, no other information is available and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
