University Police said they responded to a vehicle crash at approximately 9:30 a.m. today involving two pedestrians and a UL Lafayette transport bus at the intersection of Girard Park Circle and East St. Mary Boulevard.
The two students were hit by the front of the bus when it was turning left onto East St. Mary.
Two university students were transported to a local hospital with minor to moderate injuries, officials said.
“We’re getting victim statements, witnesses and cameras from traffic cameras,” Sgt. Lance Frederick said. “And we’re going to be able to put things together from that point on.”
