U.S. Marshals conduct operation in Wisconsin, 260 arrested & over $84k in currency seized

(WFRV) – An operation labeled ‘Big Top’ was conducted in Wisconsin by U.S. Marshals that resulted in hundreds of arrests and numerous firearms/narcotics/money/vehicle seizures.

The U.S. Marshals announced that 260 people were arrested across southeastern Wisconsin after an operation called ‘Big Top’ that targeted violent criminals. The U.S. Marshals Service Eastern District of Wisconsin Fugitive Task Force conducted this operation.

The release says Operation Big Top focused enforcement activities happening in four of the larger cities/urban areas of the district. The operation reportedly coincided with the months leading up to summer, when authorities believed there would be an influx of visitors.

Hundreds of people were arrested, including nearly 30 of which were homicide-related. Additionally, over $84,000 was seized.

Below is a breakdown of the results from the operation:

  • 260 total arrests (29 of which on homicide)

  • 437 warrants cleared

  • 28 gang members

  • 83 firearms seized

  • 132.8 kilograms of narcotics seized

  • $84,547 of U.S. currency seized

  • One vehicle seized
