Uncle Luke Calls Out Latino Community For Voting For Donald Trump In 2024 Election
Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election has many people understandably distraught and pointing fingers. Uncle Luke recently called out the Latino community for supporting the controversial President-Elect despite his offensive statements and actions toward them in the past.
“All y’all who didn’t vote for Kamala, y’all stupid a** gon’ get deported,” the 63-year-old rapper said in a video. “Y’all having marches and sh*t already. We are not going out there to march. Black people are not going to march for you. I’m sorry, we will not be marching. It’s no more such thing as Black and brown people. It’s Black. We will not be marching with you.”
Luke’s sentiments have been shared by many Black people since last week’s shocking election results. Many have denounced the “POC” catch-all term and committed to distancing themselves from those who did not do what was best for minorities. “The line got drawn last Tuesday,” he continued. “We know where we stand with all y’all. White people know where they stand with white women. Black people know where they stand with Hispanics. We though y’all were our friends. Y’all go through some things, we be out there fighting and marching and then you do this.”
Per an exit poll, 46% of people who identify as Hispanic went out to the polls and voted for Donald Trump, marking a 12% increase in his Hispanic voter base from the 2020 election when he lost to President Joe Biden. This was just a few weeks after Donald Trump held a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden where comedian Tony Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean.”
Uncle Luke suggested that some Black people’s approach toward Latinos may not be as passive as simply distancing themselves. “Now you got to worry about the little Black ladies who sitting there looking out the window calling the people on you,” he said. “Hey ICE. They going to be singing the song. ‘Ice Ice Baby.’”
Meanwhile, some rappers were happy that Donald Trump won. Sauce Walka claimed that being President was a “man’s job” and urged people do simply to what is best for them and their success. 50 Cent shared photos with the former reality television star and congratulated him, writing, “I don’t care how the fight goes, I’m leaving with the winner sh*t.” Lil Pump taunted the rappers who “got paid” to endorse Kamala Harris and called them “f**king losers.” He claimed that he stood on “what’s right” and didn’t need compensation to support Trump.
