Vice President Kamala Harris to participate in forum at 2024 Essence Festival
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — United States Vice President United States Kamala Harris is heading to New Orleans to attend the 2024 Essence Festival of Culture.
Happening Saturday, July 6, Harris will participate in Chief to Chief, where she will sit down with Essence Magazine President and CEO Caroline A. Wanga.
American Red Cross reminds residents to stay prepared through hurricane season
The two will come together to discuss the “common goal of the United States at the forefront of the agenda.”
The forum starts at 5:15 p.m. and will be held at the GBEF HQ stage at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The event will be open for the public to attend on a first come first serve basis.

This will be Harris’ third appearance at the festival. She attended once in 2023, where she engaged in discussions surrounding reproductive freedom and the maternal health crisis and another time in 2022 on the Wealth and Power stage.
