Vice President Kamala Harris Reacts To Donald Trump Conviction: “Cheaters Don’t Like Getting Caught”
Vice President Kamala Harris has choice words about former President Donald Trump’s conviction. As a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! the politician shared her thoughts on the trial-by-jury process that found Trump guilty in the court of law on 34 felony counts.
“A jury of 12 people, over the course of six weeks, deliberated on the evidence and facts and unanimously determined guilt [with] 34 felony counts,” detailed Harris to the talk show host per The Hollywood Reporter. “There was a defense attorney who actively participated in selecting that jury, who actively made decisions about witnesses to call, witnesses to cross-examine and the jury made their decision.”
“I think the reality is cheaters don’t like getting caught and being held accountable,” she continued, adding “The reality is, let’s just fast-forward to November. I think the American people want to know that there is a president who believes they are accountable to the people.”
Donald Trump was ultimately convicted of causing the falsification of checks, invoices, and ledgers, hiding a payment to Stormy Daniels, in an effort to conceal the violation of campaign finance and tax laws, as reported by Time. Trump has the opportunity to appeal his conviction after he is sentenced on July 11.

Additonally, 40% said Trump’s convictions had no impact on their decision about who to vote for in November in the upcoming presidential election. A third said they make them less likely to support Trump, while 27% explained the conviction makes them more likely to support the former President.
