VIDEO: Deputy strolls into retirement party after being told he may not walk again

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WJW) — He was told he may never walk again. Yet, just last week, Master Deputy Hal Davis was seen striding into his retirement party without help.

With the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for more than 17 years (and 32 in law enforcement all together), Davis was seriously injured in 2022 after falling off a ladder at this home.

The neck injury meant significant rehabilitation and treatment, but with the help of his medical team and loved ones, Davis is back on his feet.
