Local ambulance driver fell asleep at the wheel: Police
OAKWOOD VILLAGE, Ohio (WJW) — An ambulance in Oakwood Village went off the road, causing lane closures Thursday morning and then an eye-catching scene as the emergency vehicle was then lifted from a ravine and towed from the scene.

According to the Oakwood Village Police Department, crews responded to the scene of the accident along Interstate 480 Westbound, just past the Broadway/Forbes Road exit, at about 5:30 a.m.
In an afternoon update, police said the driver and passenger of the ambulance both fell asleep.
The ambulance then veered off the right side of the road, went up the embankment and came to a stop right at the bridge, just before striking the Broadway Avenue overpass, said police.
Morning crash blocked several lanes on I-90
No injuries were reported and officials said there were no patients inside the ambulance at the time of the crash.
The ambulance belongs to a private ambulance company and was eventually lifted up and over the railing of the roadway. It was then put onto a flatbed truck and taken from the scene.
