VIDEO: Local cat rescued from storm drain with leaf blower

CHARDON, Ohio (WJW) — When a kitten is stuck in a storm drain who are you going to call?

The Chardon Fire Department leaped into action earlier this week when they were alerted that a furry feline was trapped.

“Firefighter Dan McKenna and the “A” shift rescued a kitten from a storm drain in the Woods of Burlington development, with a little help from a leaf blower,” the department shared on Facebook Saturday morning, showing a video of the daring rescue.

In the video, McKenna is seen dipping into the open drain finally extracting the cat. Someone off screen yells “Oh, there he is.”

It’s unclear who the kitten may have belonged to or where it was taken next.
