She continued, talking about what his election might mean for her kids, saying, "I worry about my children’s future, especially my daughter, who now has less rights than I have. I remember my father telling me many, many years ago that I was the first person in his family to enjoy full civil rights. Hostin also mentioned that Trump was elected president as a convicted felon, declaring that "the convicted felon box on employment applications better be taken off, because if you can be the president of the United States, then you should not be prevented from employment in this country.”

The other The View hosts appeared to feel similarly, with Whoopi Goldberg, who was outspoken against Trump during the campaign, saying, "We just told people to vote, we didn’t tell them who to vote for.”

Others wrote, "Sunny, YOU SAID IT BEST!??????????????????????," and "I totally agree with you Sunny!" There were also supporters of Trump mixed in who voiced their disagreement with The View hosts' statements.
