New voter engagement center opens in Central City

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A new voter engagement center has opened in Central City ahead of the fall elections.

Louisiana leaders push for passage of AM radio bill ahead of Hurricane Katrina anniversary

The new center was opened by the group Women with a Vision.

Voters will be able to get answers to questions they might have about the voting process, including how to register to vote, where to vote and how to get to the polls.

Grow Dat Youth Farm reaches location agreement with City Park Conservancy

“People power is what we’re trying to do to get people to the polls, people power to change the way our communities look, not just in the presidential campaign, but down the ballot. Vote for people who are responsible for your neighborhood,” said Women with a Vision Executive Director Deon Haywood.

The voter engagement center is located in the 2000 block of Oreatha Castle Haley Boulevard.
