Wait, Are Banks Open on Labor Day?
Labor Day always provides a nice weekend to celebrate the end of summer, the beginning of a new school year and just enjoy another three-day weekend. We celebrate Labor Day—on Monday, September 2, 2024—to honor and recognize all of the work that people do every day. From postal workers to construction workers to customer service workers, Labor Day is about honoring the work people do to keep the country running. It’s a good time to remember that labor rights exist for a reason; workers are humans and deserve proper working conditions and compensation.
When that extra weekend day comes up later in the year, though, you might be out and about and want to stop into your bank at some point. But are banks open on Labor Day? Even though it’s a day honoring workers, not every business is closed for the holiday.
